Glenn Albert
Judge Advocate - Air Force

Glenn served in the USMC (Marine Corps) from May of 1962 until October 1966. He was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. While there, he had the honor of visiting the Atomic Bomb Museum in Hiroshima, an experience he will never forget!

"Iwakuni, Japan is where I first learned about joint Latrine facilities, LOL!"

After serving in the Marine Corps, Glenn enlisted in the US Air Force in July 1967 and was sent to Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force in 1984. In total, Glenn spent 22 years in active Service.

Glenn then followed in the footsteps of his uncle, Glenn Albert, and was elected Commander of Hillyard VFW Post 1474 in 1986. He was our Commander through 1988 and oversaw the installation of our new flagpole during the State Convention. Glenn followed that by then becoming our Quartermaster in 1989.

Glenn served as Washington District 9 Commander 4 times, and as Washington State Commander in 2015 and 2016. Glenn remains active and currently serves as our Judge Advocate.

Glenn was born in Worley, Idaho. He graduated from Washtucna High School in 1962.  It was on the dirt country roads that he learned to race cars, a skill he would utilize later as a professional race car driver! Glenn later spent many years working for the Coeur d' Alene Tribe in Worley, Idaho.
