"My Helmet captures my 23 years in the Army. Blending triumphs and trials. At 34 as a new nurse, as a single mom deep in debt. I Commissioned during the Gulf War. From 2003, I readied for Operation Enduring Freedom, deploying to Afghanistan in 2006 and Iraq in 2009 under Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2010, I trained my team for their 2013 Afghanistan Tour. Retiring at 60 in 2014, I was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on my birthday, July 7, a testament to my steadfast Service."-Catherine Anderson
